The centenary cork company evolves towards premium with high-end stoppers

J·Vigas is an independent family business (not belonging to any group) with almost 140 years of history (180 if we count the beginnings in Reims making champagne stoppers).
Over the years, they have produced champagne stoppers and the entire range of stoppers that have emerged since (colmated, 1+1, agglomerated…).
But since Raül Vigas took over in 2018, they have gradually positioned themselves as suppliers exclusively of high-end stoppers.

“Our size allows us to have close contact with the client, like a jewelry store or a tailor’s shop: we have access to the best materials, we know our clients deeply, and we offer them the best quality natural cork stoppers that adapt to their preferences,” explains Raül Vigas.
“We are not for everyone,” reflects Enric Vigas, the right-hand man of his brother Raül. “Our specialty is clients who prioritize quality above all, whether they are large or small wineries. What matters is their pursuit of excellence.”

To offer high-end stoppers, it is essential, as with any luxury product, to be at the forefront of innovation and have the latest technological advancements.

For this reason, J·Vigas was the first cork company to have its own laboratory 39 years ago. And since then, they have reinvested 30% of their annual profits in innovation, from conducting studies and participating in cutting-edge projects to acquiring the best technology.

The manual selection is one of our strengths: people with years, even decades, of experience who perfectly know the preferences of each client.

“This personalization is not only in the preparation of the order, according to the taste of each winery. Moreover, our clients have access to a private Client Area, available 24/7, where they can check the status of their orders, track transportation, download technical documentation, invoices…,” points out Teresa Darnaculleta, biologist, oenologist, and former technical director, who currently serves as Customer Service Director (SAC).

SAC offers personalized service and a direct relationship with each client, who always has a reference person, whether for technical, logistical, or any other type of matter.
